In Late fall 1975, I woke up in
my van with My drums, guitars, my dog and my cat, cold, pissed off
and Felt like it was the end of everything. Randall Burdick invited
me to Move in with him and his family. Randy lives on a very large
farm, way out in the country. I decided, my next band had to be more
then a band. It had to be a way of life. Randall & I kicked it
around for awhile, and went on a quest to find people of like minds.
First came Jeffery Stenson, (later known as Mr. Red Bud) fantastic
lead player, living up by Madison Wi. Quite a haul from where we
were. Then we brought Bill Massie, in on bass. Met a keyboard
player, named Steven Kelly and went to Penn. To get his gear. We
Commenced to get down to some serious music. Red Bud has had quite a
few musicians in its ranks. I am known to be hard to work with,
temperamental, and one hell of an ego-maniac.
Music has always been real close to my heart along with Many
women that have come and gone. my love for music was very very
strong and Red Bud thunder, became everything I had ever wanted. a
chance to create and share what I felt and believed in. Over the
years many players have come and gone. Some have remained friends
and family forever. We have written and performed music all over.
And I personally, thank everyone who has helped me create this
musical adventure. I hope all who cast their eyes and ears enjoy
this material as much as I have enjoyed creating it. A list of
everyone, I can remember is here somewhere. And if I have forgotten
anyone or anything, its not on purpose, its just that it has and
